On August 31, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis for PS4 will release in the West

On August 31 in the west, SEGA will release Phantasy Star Online 2 and Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis for the PlayStation 4.

Initially released on the PC on July 4, 2012 in Japan, Phantasy Star Online 2 then appeared on the PS Vita on February 28, 2013, the PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2016, and the Switch via cloud streaming on April 4, 2018. The English version was first released for Xbox One on April 14, 2020, then for PC on May 27, 2020. On August 5, 2020, both platforms were made available worldwide.

A new online action role-playing game from SEGA is called Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis. Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis takes place on Halpha, a planet where the enigmatic DOLLS and the ARKS (soldiers of the Oracle colony fleet in the Phantasy Star Online 2 series) are engaged in a power struggle. The game is set 1,000 years after the events of Phantasy Star Online 2.

Action combat and character customisation in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis have been updated and expanded, giving players more freedom and expression than before.

Players can team up with other operatives to encounter thrilling battles and boss fights in brand-new locations by selecting from four distinctive races and eight classes. The emphasis is on flowing, flashy mobility to conquer and explore expansive open settings. Cross-platform play will enable users to perform all of this with pals on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store, Epic Games Store), Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
