On January 31, 2023, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake will go on sale for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and Steam platforms, according to publisher THQ Nordic and creator Purple Lamp Studios.

A complimentary "Costume Pack" including the following seven costumes will be given to customers who pre-order the physical and digital editions:
